Hi guys, the name is akumous -- a gamer -- and this is my blog it is about my one of many passions such as video games. Basically this is centrally my gamer's blog where I will not post about videogames but other geeky material such as anime, comic book films, hardware, and I will occasionally vent about the nonsense that antagonize me about the gaming industry. Although this blog is a work in progress...it is my tool for escapism and fun. Thanks in advance for following my page.

Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition review and Logitech Z506 Speakers review for gaming
Initially, I got bored of Borderlands 2 but after a few hours of play through and several levels later I can safely say Borderlands 2 GOY edition is a buy. It is basically a revamped version of Borderlands with fixes of issues I had with the previous game such as the flawed menu UI and shallow story.
The game retains it sense of humor and in much respects more humorous than the first with superb voice acting, great characters, and fantastic art design. I just love it and it is work a buy, especially this version with tons of content and immense replay value both locally and online.
Now with that said, I have to finish this piece in sharing my audio experience with Logitech's Z506 speakers. If you are a gamer who is interested in simple setup for your PC and console experience then by all means buy these babies. It is affordable, easy to set up, and it sounds awesome. I have been wanting these speakers for my then PC for ages but I never had the chance until now. I have yet to build my powered PC and I probably will not in a while. I am going to be focused on console gaming for a while until I have better revenue stream to build my ideal PC but for now these speakers should be suffice.
However, I wonder if they work with the now consoles, Ps4 and Xbox One, but I guess in time I will find out. I won't be through with PS3 anytime soon since I play my fighting games religiously and for the past several years. So my PS3 is here to stay until Sony decides to cut off net work forcing me to put it away.

Why didn't Sony and Microsoft ship their consoles with at least 2 terabyte of storage?
You know why I don't own any of the new consoles? It is not because they are no games out that truly take advantage of the hardware or the games I am remotely interested in are coming out several months down the line or I am patiently waiting for all the hardware bugs to kink out....wait. I am solely waiting for the hardware bugs and poor design choices to kink out and one of them is limited storage space.
If an average game requires at least 30 gigabyte of storage space to play then why these game manufacturers shipped consoles with 500 gigabyte? It doesn't make any sense to me since that space will be required to do other media content and console updates. That space is going to be eat up in a matter of weeks. However, at least Sony made it convenient to up the system's hardware unlike Microsoft.
Does next generation games really have to eat up so much storage space? Are developers being lazy in not implementing better file compression technology so that the games won't eat up so much space...I think they are and I will give them a break since they were in a rush to get the games out in orderly fashion.
So I am hoping games of the new generation won't eat up so much space and hopefully the new consoles will ship with reasonable store space like at least a terabyte or 2.
I may delve in the new generation later this year once a stellar game comes out. For one, I am content with my PS3 because I am hoping the it will get the same treatment as the PS2. PS2 was indeed one of the best gaming consoles ever made due to the longest gaming and manufacturing support. It really has some amazing games, games I have missed out on and I won't even bother playing because I am too lazy to get the composite cables or converters to play on my current set up.
I will keep my PS3 connected and I am hoping great games like the Persona series will cross over. In case you all feel I may be a fan boy, the truth to it, is I was. But now I just want to play great exclusive games for either platform, whether it is PC title, PS4 title, or Xbox One title and I won't miss out like I did years ago.
Right now, however, my finances are funneling towards a car because FL public transit is ass. Fucking atrocious. I hate it with a passion. It is no way as informative and reliable as New York City. I really do need a car, and I will make that investment come into fruition this year. With that being said, I may not have the opportunity to buy all two consoles in one shot. So I will have to go with the PS4 console first since Sony has a solid business approach than MS. And once the consoles are bought, I have a personal mission of building a powered personal computer because my new Macbook Pro Laptop just doesn't cut it for gaming. I can't even get the installer to work on the Mac, legitimately, to play Warcraft III....and I won't be installing new gamers because I don't have the space for that. I am using that storage for movies and anime, and I don't even have enough for that. Ugh....Anyway I am going to get ready to head off for work. Later.

The hypocrisy of people!
I am the first nor the last you've heard, read, or witnessed beforehand of individuals who hates their job. Either they are underemployed, like myself, or limited opportunities, like myself again, or just too scared of looking another job due to anxiety, probably me again. Ugh, I can't believe I am blogging this to the internet publicly but I am human and sometimes is best to not keep things in.
I work with selfish hypocrites on a daily basis but what makes it comical is most of them are morons. They can easily be fired in a heart beat if I want to but they do me no harm, at least not the extremist of situations, yet. I am just not in the mood to get involve with malicious plot to get rid of someone they don't like. Not my style. God don't like ugly. If one wishes pain and suffering to one then karma is going to bite back to them tenfolds. Hence, I won't be a any part of it. I am just going to do what ever it takes to get out of that situation and move forward in life.
Let's talk about games, mostly the newly game I've picked up several days ago, Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Collector's edition. It is a good game for what it is but it is a boring ass game. It is a buddy game. A game meant to play with buddies online and although it gives the player the option to play with random players on the web, I am just not in the mood. I may buy Tomb Raid and Last of Us in one shot to keep me entertain because nothing seems to help kill my boredom.
I am a fan of a game with character--story, depth, and fun game player--but unfortunately borderland's game play is pretty stale now with these fetch quests, and kill x amount monsters and other monsters there, and deliver said packages to x location, and rinse and repeat. However, the dialogue and characters the player meets along the way are ridiculous and entertaining but that's not enough to keep me engage.
Alas, there goes another game in my collection which I may not finish or play anytime soon--I have about three of them and counting.
Don't you just hate it when you buy a game you don't like but refuse to resell it or trade it in Gamestop because you're trying to build a gamer's collection or hoping you're going to a minor a temporary phase....anyway, I am going to bed for work to wake early for Sunday work.
