Dark Souls 2 reviews...and Batman Arkham Knight

It seems the consensus from major gaming reviews sites are consistent, and that is the game is not up to the caliber of Dark Souls but roughly a solid game. In retrospect, I think Demon Souls had some elements that trumps Dark Souls and vice versa and although I have yet to delve in the world of Dark Souls 2, I am going to hold off a bit until the hype dies and the reviews from the average players starts to surface.

To be frank, I quite disappointed...from the videos I have seen and the few articles I have had read it seems the game is quite dumbed down in both graphical presentation and creativity. The textures or the polygons seemed to be lowered to mitigate or fix the frame rate issues that plagued the older games and although that is fine, the game seems to be a high-res PS2 game but maybe that is just me. On other hand, it seems to be less glory or blood happy than before or maybe that is just me sense I don't have the game in my possession and just basing it off of footages and reviews I watched online.

It is going to be a while since I delve in the world of Dark Souls 2 since I am patiently waiting for patches to be made, if any, and community feedback until I will keep segment updated overtime once I start playing the game for myself.

Now on to Batman!! I know this is random and should have its own post be fuck it, this is my blog and I can do what I want...I am sure you guys have seen the trailer for this game, that being said you know how we gamers are. Trailer looks awesome but it is hard likely the final product is going to look just as good as the trailer or better but I may be wrong with Batman Arkham Knight. Kindly look at these in game photos below and behold a true next generation title that might push me over in getting a PS4 sooner than I had originally planned..

Are you excited? You should be, and finally we have a game that takes advantage of the new hardware and boy does the tone of pics set the mood for a grittier batman and its cartoonish iterations.
