Hi guys, the name is akumous -- a gamer -- and this is my blog it is about my one of many passions such as video games. Basically this is centrally my gamer's blog where I will not post about videogames but other geeky material such as anime, comic book films, hardware, and I will occasionally vent about the nonsense that antagonize me about the gaming industry. Although this blog is a work in progress...it is my tool for escapism and fun. Thanks in advance for following my page.

Capcom did it again!!!....Street Fighter V Balrog and Ibuki delayed again!!
I am not mad...because as I said earlier Capcom has done good this time around. It is true that this massive update will come out this Friday, July 1st 2016, instead of late June as planned but this time we are getting two DLC characters, a new classical stage from Street Fighter II, a few alternate versions of the current stages, and a massive cinematic story content to plow through. They communicated this post CEO grand finals with an impressive reveal trailer that has teaser clips of last two DLC characters for season one.
The reason why I am not mad because this was communicated in a timely fashion, a big tournament venue with tons of journalist, and they gave us some media content to wet our appetites until the big date. The delay is not that big of an issue for me since prior characters were available the last three days of the month, so waiting an extra couple of days is not bad at all. They are doing a better job in communicating with the fans and defusing probable issue than they did before. For instance, Alex was a major anticipated character, and his road was an neglected one. Capcom, did not give us any teaser or word when he was coming out. We all had thought he was coming out in the middle of the month instead of the 27th of that month. Additionally, there was a character reveal trailer until the very last minute. Fans of the PC platform who hacked the game, made a trailer to cater to the crowd which was sad. Although, they gotten better with Guile, it was not until Ibuki's probable reveal and release that they decided to buckle up and get their shit together due to the major backlash they gotten from the fanbase.
I heard news that there is a divide between the communication levels of Capcom USA and Capcom Japan which probably is true because if ever work for a company there is sometimes issues between different departments not being on the same page. Many of us probably do not care since that is internal issue that has to be fixed if the company wants to fulfill its corporate agenda. In today's gaming industry transparency between departments and social media is of the highest priority if a company wants to be successful. Consumer feedback, especially when it comes games, is an invaluable resource.
As I say, Capcom, you can look at Blizzard and NetherRealms for inspiration or if you are too prideful take cues from your fan base and the hardcore fighting game community. On that note, I have nothing much else on this topic. I am excited for Ibuki and Balrog and I cannot wait to see what Capcom has in store for us. However, they really need to work on the rage quitters situation and finishing up the ingame character profile data...they have a lot work but so far SFV is shaping up to be game what it should have been, several months ago.
