Hi guys, the name is akumous -- a gamer -- and this is my blog it is about my one of many passions such as video games. Basically this is centrally my gamer's blog where I will not post about videogames but other geeky material such as anime, comic book films, hardware, and I will occasionally vent about the nonsense that antagonize me about the gaming industry. Although this blog is a work in progress...it is my tool for escapism and fun. Thanks in advance for following my page.

Post E3 conference thoughts, mostly on Nintendo...
I may be wrong but I think Nintendo only had one major game to show for its console platform and another for its handheld platform, so in conclusion they only had two games to show for E3. As a former Nintendo fanboy, I found this to be sadly comical and a little curious of the company's position and relationship with 3rd party developers. Do they value nintendo's relevance of this day an age or Nintendo is just a relic that is reluctant to change. It could be both...
Anyway, after watching all of the Zelda videos on youtube, I have become very fond of the game...if I have any criticism, I wish the game's open world to be more lively with more wildlife to give the game that sense of immersion and illusion. If cannot be done due to the Wii U's graphical limitation then make these additions possible on the next console. I think this Zelda is the best game yet because it is not the safe traditional Zelda we know. This Zelda game is more modern and conventional. Nintendo has finally broken out of their comfort zone by taking an extreme turn. Yes prior Zelda games have made drastic changes to the framework of what make Zelda game, Zelda. But not to this level.
Link does not even start out with his traditional gear. Weapons can be acquired by loots of defeated enemies. The game has taken an open world approach by giving the player true freedom. There is no specific order in terms of how a player should play the game. A player can go to any dungeon in particular order he or she sees fit. Additionally, a lot of systems from other games are implemented here as well, such as crafting, looting, and other systems that make sense.
This is Nintendo's only major game...and I hope they go all out. I may pick this one up but I am waiting to see the graphical and gameplay differences with the Nintendo's NX version before I buy it.
